Experience six days of Uganda’s wildlife and primate highlights on this double gorilla trekking safari, combining two gorilla treks with chimpanzee tracking, game drives and time in some of the country’s most diverse landscapes. Beginning and ending in Kampala or Entebbe, the journey takes you from the forests of Bwindi and Kyambura Gorge to the savannahs of Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo National Parks.
The safari features two gorilla treks in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, offering the opportunity to encounter mountain gorillas on separate days and from different trekking experiences. You will also track chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge, explore the parks on guided game drives and enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, where hippos, crocodiles and a wide variety of waterbirds are regularly seen.
Along the way, guided nature walks add a closer connection with Uganda’s landscapes and smaller wildlife, while optional flying transfers can be arranged for travellers looking to reduce road travel and add a different perspective to the journey.
With a balance of primate trekking, wildlife viewing and time in nature, this safari is well suited to travellers who want to explore Uganda beyond a single destination, with the comfort of a private vehicle, experienced guide and carefully planned itinerary.
