Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Begin your journey with a scenic transfer southwest towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, travelling through Uganda’s beautiful countryside and rolling landscapes. Stop at the Equator in Kayabwe for photographs and a short exploration of this famous landmark, where you can learn about the equator and browse locally made crafts and souvenirs.
Continue through Mbarara and the scenic Ankole countryside, with lunch enjoyed en route. The journey then takes you towards the Kigezi Highlands, where terraced hills, winding roads and dramatic landscapes lead into the Bwindi region.

Gorilla Trekking Experience & Community Visit
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for your gorilla trekking briefing, part of your comprehensive Uganda Primate Trekking Safari.
Before entering the forest, local performers welcome you with traditional dances and songs, while Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers provide important information about gorilla trekking etiquette, safety and conservation.
Begin your trek into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with your specialist guide and trackers in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take between two and eight hours depending on the location and movement of the gorillas. Once you find the family, spend a memorable hour observing their behaviour, interactions and daily life in their natural habitat.
later in the afternoon, enjoy an optional community experience, meeting local people, experiencing traditional performances, exploring crafts or learning about the history and culture of former Batwa forest communities.

Return to Entebbe or Continue Your Journey
Enjoy an early breakfast before checking out and beginning your return journey towards Kampala or Entebbe.
Travel through the scenic Kigezi Highlands and Ankole countryside, with lunch enjoyed along the way. For guests with onward flights, a direct transfer to Entebbe International Airport can be arranged.
Alternatively, shorten the return journey with an optional domestic flight from Kihihi to Entebbe. The safari can also be adapted to begin or end in Kigali, Rwanda, or combined with a Rwanda–Uganda cross-border gorilla experience
