Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Drive to Masai Mara

Days 3 & 4: Full Safari Days in the Masai Mara

- Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day safari, spotting rhinos, lions, elephants, hippos, and flamingos.

Day 9: Karatu – Mto wa Mbu – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, set off for Mto wa Mbu, a bustling melting pot of cultures. Stroll through local farms, lively markets, and banana plantations while learning about Maasai traditions and the daily lives of the many communities that call this area home.
Continue to Tarangire National Park, a landscape dominated by ancient baobab trees and sweeping savannahs.
- On your evening game drive, keep watch for the park’s famous large elephant herds, sometimes numbering in the hundreds.
- Lions prowl the grasslands, while leopards lurk in the trees and cheetahs patrol the open plains.
- The park is also rich in antelope species such as impalas, elands, and oryx, alongside buffalo and giraffes.
- Bird enthusiasts will delight in spotting some of Tarangire’s over 550 bird species, from colorful lovebirds and bee-eaters to the striking martial eagle and the giant ostriches.
- During the dry season, Tarangire’s river draws wildlife from across the region, creating superb viewing opportunities.
