6-Day Amboseli, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara Wildlife Safari

Depart Nairobi and drive approximately four hours to Amboseli National Park, known for its large elephant herds, open savannahs and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive as you begin exploring the park. Look out for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes and a variety of birdlife across the surrounding plains.

Later, continue to your lodge, settle in and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Amboseli.

Spend a full day exploring the landscapes and wildlife of Amboseli National Park. Begin with an early morning game drive, when wildlife activity is often at its best and Mount Kilimanjaro may provide a striking backdrop in clear conditions.

Depending on your preference, you may enjoy an optional bush breakfast before continuing your morning exploration. Return to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax before heading out again in the afternoon.

Later, visit a Maasai community for a cultural experience and an opportunity to learn about traditional lifestyles, cattle keeping, customs and the community's connection to the surrounding landscape. You may also enjoy traditional music and dance during the visit.

End the day with the changing colours of the Amboseli landscape as the sun sets over the plains.

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and travel towards Lake Nakuru National Park, passing through Nairobi and continuing into Kenya's Great Rift Valley.

Arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive around the park. Explore the lake and surrounding woodland and grassland areas in search of black and white rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, waterbuck and other wildlife.

The lake also attracts a wide variety of birdlife, and depending on seasonal conditions, flamingos may be seen along its shores.

Return to your lodge later in the day for dinner and relaxation.

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and continue towards the Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley and surrounding countryside as you travel west towards one of Kenya's most celebrated wildlife areas.

Upon arrival in the Masai Mara, check in at your lodge and, depending on arrival time, head out for a game drive across the reserve. The Mara's open grasslands offer opportunities to encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and numerous other species.

Return to the lodge in the evening and enjoy a relaxed dinner surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Spend a full day exploring the Masai Mara, allowing plenty of time to experience its diverse landscapes and wildlife.

Begin with an early morning game drive, when the cooler conditions provide a good opportunity to search for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and other wildlife. Depending on your preference, an optional bush breakfast can be arranged in the reserve.

Continue exploring different areas of the Mara throughout the morning before returning for lunch and a period of relaxation. Later, head out for an afternoon game drive, continuing your search for wildlife across the open plains.

During the annual wildebeest migration, typically between July and October, the Mara can also provide opportunities to witness large herds moving through the reserve and crossing the Mara River, depending on their movements and prevailing conditions.
