Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly received by your driver-guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short excursion around Kigali, widely regarded as Africa’s cleanest and most organized city. Visit landmarks such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a moving insight into Rwanda’s history, explore bustling local markets, or relax at modern shopping centers. This evening, unwind at your hotel and prepare for the days of adventure ahead.

Day 2: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park | Dian Fossey Museum
After breakfast, set off for a scenic four-hour drive to Kinigi, home to Volcanoes National Park. The journey winds through rolling hills, coffee plantations, and charming villages, with opportunities to stop for photography and interaction with locals. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and later visit the Dian Fossey Museum to learn about her groundbreaking conservation work and her enduring legacy in protecting mountain gorillas.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Rise early for the highlight of your safari—gorilla trekking. After a briefing at the park headquarters (with a warm cup of Rwandan coffee), join your ranger guide and fellow trekkers to embark on an unforgettable journey into the forest. Trekking may take 1–8 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once found, spend one magical hour in their presence, observing their behavior and capturing memories through photography. If time allows, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Center for a taste of Rwandan traditions before returning to your lodge.

Day 4: Golden Monkeys | Cross into Uganda
After breakfast, return to the park for golden monkey tracking. These rare primates, known for their playful nature, inhabit the bamboo forests at the park’s edges. After the trek, depart Rwanda for Uganda via Cyanika border, enjoying a scenic 6-hour drive through terraced hills and lush landscapes. Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Transfer to Ishasha
Today offers your second opportunity to meet the mountain gorillas, this time in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Trekking here introduces you to a different terrain, with rich biodiversity—over 120 mammal species, 346 bird species, and countless butterflies and plants. After your hour with the gorillas, drive to Ishasha, famed for its tree-climbing lions. Your lodge, located in the heart of the wilderness, offers opportunities to spot wildlife right from your veranda.

Days 6–8: Ishasha & Queen Elizabeth National Park
Spend the next three days exploring both the southern and northern sectors of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Spend time with these intelligent primates, watching them interact, feed, and communicate. Later, explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, renowned for birds, monkeys, and community projects where you can join in coffee brewing or traditional dances.

Days 11–13: Murchison Falls National Park
Take a scenic flight from Kasese to Murchison Falls, Uganda’s largest national park. Your lodge sits along the Nile River, offering breathtaking views and tranquility.
