Juba to Terekeka – Entering Mundari Country
After breakfast, leave Juba and travel north towards Terekeka, passing through the landscapes that lead into the heartland of the Mundari people. The journey offers an early glimpse into the rural life and pastoral traditions of South Sudan.
On arrival, meet members of the local community and settle into the cattle camp. Over a communal lunch, learn about Mundari culture, traditions and the important role cattle play in everyday life.
As the afternoon cools, spend time around the cattle kraals, observing the relationship between the herders and their animals. The golden evening light creates exceptional opportunities for photography before gathering around the campfire for dinner, stories and conversation beneath the stars.
