3-Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari

Safari Overview

This carefully designed 3-day safari offers you the rare chance to explore Volcanoes National Park in northwestern Rwanda, one of the few sanctuaries on earth where endangered mountain gorillas thrive in their natural habitat. Nestled within the legendary Virunga Mountains, the park covers about 160 square kilometers of pristine rainforest, bamboo zones, wetlands, waterfalls, and unique volcanic landscapes.

Your journey begins in Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital famously known as the “land of a thousand hills.” From there, you will travel through rolling hills and lush countryside towards the gorilla highlands. The highlight of this safari is the unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure, where you will spend time face-to-face with a gorilla family, observing their behaviors, social interactions, and striking similarities to human life.

Beyond gorillas, this safari is enriched with cultural encounters, scenic beauty, and opportunities to explore Kigali’s history and art scene. You will also have the option to visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, experience local traditions, and enjoy Rwanda’s warm hospitality.
