Upon entering Serengeti National Park, begin your first game drive, with the timing depending on your arrival. Full-Day Serengeti Wildlife Exploration

Rise early for a morning game drive as the Serengeti comes alive. The cooler hours of the day often provide excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, with predators active and large herds beginning their daily movements across the plains.

After your morning exploration, return to camp for breakfast and some time to relax before heading out again for an afternoon game drive. Explore different habitats of the Serengeti in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes and other wildlife.

For an extraordinary perspective of the Serengeti, you may choose an optional hot-air balloon safari at sunrise. Float quietly above the plains as the landscape comes to life below, followed by a bush breakfast after landing.

Extensive Serengeti Wildlife Exploration & Sundowner

Set out early for an extensive wildlife exploration across the Serengeti, dedicating the day to discovering different areas of the park and following wildlife activity as it unfolds. With plenty of time in the field, your guide will adapt the route according to recent sightings, animal movements and your interests, whether you are hoping to encounter big cats, elephants, large herbivore herds or other wildlife.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your exploration through the afternoon. You may choose to remain out exploring throughout the day, or return to camp in the mid-afternoon for some time to relax and unwind before heading out again later.

As the day draws to a close, enjoy a Serengeti sundowner at a scenic location, watching the sun descend over the endless plains with a refreshing drink as the landscape takes on the warm colours of evening. Afterwards, return to camp for dinner and a relaxing evening in the heart of the Serengeti.

 Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Crater Game Drive

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in the Serengeti as you make your way towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey offers further opportunities for wildlife sightings while transitioning from the open Serengeti plains into the spectacular highlands surrounding the Ngorongoro Crater.

Later, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an extended game drive of approximately five hours. The crater's enclosed ecosystem supports an impressive concentration of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, jackals and, with luck, black rhinos. Lions and other predators are also frequently encountered.

After exploring the crater floor, ascend to the crater rim and take in the spectacular panoramic views before continuing to your lodge for the evening.

Mto wa Mbu Cultural Experience – Return to Arusha

After breakfast, begin your final day with a cultural experience in Mto wa Mbu, a vibrant community known for its cultural diversity and close connection to the surrounding landscapes.

Take part in hands-on experiences that provide an insight into everyday life, such as local cooking, banana beer preparation, traditional farming, art and crafts. The experience offers an opportunity to interact with local residents and learn about the traditions and livelihoods that shape the community.

You may then visit a Maasai boma for an introduction to Maasai traditions, pastoralist life and cultural heritage, with opportunities to learn about their relationship with cattle, community and the surrounding environment.

Later, continue to Arusha, where your safari comes to an end. You can be dropped off at your hotel, airport or another location of your choice.
