Day 1: Journey to the Masai Mara – Scenic Drive through the Rift Valley

After a hearty breakfast in Nairobi, your journey begins as you depart the bustling city and head westward. Drive through the Great Rift Valley, where scenic viewpoints allow you to marvel at the vast escarpments and volcanic hills. Along the way, you’ll pass through Narok, a vibrant Maasai town, before entering the majestic Masai Mara National Reserve by early afternoon.

Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. After some rest, head out for your first afternoon game drive, offering a taste of what awaits over the next few days—lion prides lazing under trees, herds of elephants roaming, and giraffes nibbling on treetops. Return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening in the African wilderness.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drives in the Masai Mara

Today is dedicated to exploring the wonders of the Masai Mara. Set out early for a morning game drive, when animals are most active. Traverse the vast savannah in search of Africa’s Big Five and many other species that thrive here.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and enjoy some time at leisure. In the afternoon, embark on another game drive to explore a different section of the reserve. If visiting between July and October, you may witness the awe-inspiring wildebeest migration as they cross the Mara River in dramatic scenes often targeted by crocodiles and big cats.

The diversity and density of wildlife in the Masai Mara is unmatched—keep your camera ready! After sunset, return to the lodge for dinner and storytelling under the stars.

Day 3: Sunrise Game Drive, Bush Breakfast & Maasai Cultural Visit

Begin your day with a sunrise game drive, a magical time when the bush comes alive. As the golden rays light up the savannah, observe predators returning from a night hunt and herbivores beginning their day. After an exciting morning drive, enjoy a bush breakfast served in a scenic spot within the reserve—an unforgettable moment in the wild.

Later, return to the lodge to relax. In the afternoon, choose between an optional visit to a Maasai village, where you’ll interact with locals, see traditional homes, and learn about their customs, or enjoy another short game drive to catch any animals you may have missed.

Day 4: Return to Nairobi – Safari Farewell

After breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to the Masai Mara. Enjoy your final views of the wilderness as you depart the reserve and drive back to Nairobi. You’ll arrive in the city by late afternoon, in time for your evening flight or further travel plans.

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Your safari adventure begins with a pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport by one of our professional guides. Enjoy a scenic drive to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.
After lunch, set out on an afternoon game drive, capturing wildlife against the golden African sunset.

Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli

After breakfast, collect your picnic lunch boxes and spend the day exploring Amboseli’s diverse landscapes on morning, afternoon, and evening game drives.
Photographers will be thrilled by the sight of elephants and other wildlife — including buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and possibly black rhino — with the towering Kilimanjaro as a backdrop.

Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch.
Lake Nakuru is renowned for its population of endangered black and white rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffe, and over 50 other species, including lions, waterbucks, and buffalo.
Enjoy an afternoon game drive before dinner.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, travel to the world-famous Masai Mara, known for its endless plains, dramatic landscapes, and richwildlife. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive until sunset.

Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara

Start early to maximise your wildlife encounters. The Mara is home to the Big Five and the spectacular Great Migration(seasonal).

Day 6: Masai Mara – Nairobi

After breakfast, enjoy your final game views as you depart for Nairobi. Depending on your flight schedule, you may opt for a leisurely lunch in the city before being transferred to the airport or your hotel.

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where a representative from Wild Compass Africa will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing after your flight and preparing for the adventure ahead Or have an optional Nairobi National park visit depending on flexibility and time for a warm fresh welcome to Kenya’s wilderness.

Day 2: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve – Into the Wild

After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most famous safari destination. The journey takes you through the beautiful Rift Valley landscapes, dotted with traditional homesteads and rolling hills.
Arrive in time for a short evening game drive, where you may spot your first lions, giraffes, or elephants.

Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Masai Mara – Big Cats & Endless Plains

Enjoy an early breakfast and set out for a full-day game drive across the Masai Mara’s golden plains. The park teems with wildlife year-round — from massive herds of buffalo and antelope to big cats on the hunt.
Enjoy a picnic lunch near the Mara River, the dramatic stage for the Great Migration (July–October). Later, return to camp as the sun sets over the savannah.

Day 4: Maasai Village Visit & Transfer to Amboseli National Park

Later, depart for Amboseli National Park, known for its massive elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. This scenic drive takes approximately 8–9 hours with picnic lunch en route.

Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, but you’ll also spot lions, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, and over 400 bird species.

Day 6: Amboseli to Nairobi – Farewell to the Wild

Depart Nairobi and drive approximately 4 hours to Amboseli National Park, famous for its abundant elephants and the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Spend a full day exploring Amboseli’s wildlife and scenery. Begin with an optional bush breakfast followed by morning and afternoon game drives. Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive through Nairobi en route to Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive around the lake, famous for its thousands of flamingoes and black and white rhinos. Also, watch for giraffes, zebras, elands, and over 400 bird species inhabiting the area. Relax at your lodge in the evening.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara Reserve

Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast for the Masai Mara, Kenya’s premier wildlife reserve. En route, enjoy the scenic Rift Valley landscapes. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge before embarking on an evening game drive, spotting lions, cheetahs, elephants, and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

Day 5: Full Day in Masai Mara

Spend the entire day exploring the Masai Mara, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. Wake early for a sunrise game drive and optional bush breakfast in the savannah. Continue to the Mara River to spot crocodiles and wildebeest during the great migrations (seasonal). Afternoon game drives offer opportunities to photograph big cats, hyenas, and diverse birdlife. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged in advance for a breathtaking aerial perspective.

Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi

Enjoy a final early morning game drive and bush breakfast before departing the reserve. Drive back to Nairobi via Narok, stopping for photographs and short breaks along the way. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the airport or your Nairobi hotel for onward travel, marking the end of your safari adventure.

Depart early from Nairobi and cross the Equator into northern Kenya. Arrive in Samburu National Reserve for lunch, then enjoy an afternoon game drive. Optional visit to the Samburu warriors to experience their high-jumping dances and vibrant shukas.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve & Buffalo Springs
